In my last post I shared a fun toy I’ve been using from SU! called, My Digital Studio, and promised to update you on some of the things I’ve created with it.
My first creation uses stamps sets from “Adventure Awaits” and “Splatter”. I just arranged the stamps in layers over one another on the screen and printed it out on my home printer on card stock. It’s a pretty simplistic card and has as masculine feel…I think I’ll send it to my grandpa with a hand written note inside about a special memory we share together.
Supply List (MDS Features Underlined in Red):
Stamp Sets: Adventure Awaits & Splatter #2.Ink Colors: Not Quite Navy, Going Gray & Basic Black. Embellishments: 3/4 Black & White Chevron & Arrow Clip. Cardstock & Paper: Whisper White, Going Gray, Basic Black & Quattrafoil Fancy Designer Series Paper.
Moving on…Do you love owls like I love owls? (Whooooo me???) They are my favorite! – I can’t get enough of these little guys! I made this colorful treat bag for daughter’s boyfriend’s daughter’s birthday. (I’m impressed if you could follow that. And I’m way too young to be called grandma so let’s not go there. LOL)Supply List (MDS Features Underlined in Red): Stamp Set: Big Bold Birthday for the “Make a Wish” sentiment. Punches: Two Step Owl Punch & Modern Label Punch. Cardstock: Whisper White, Real Red & Birthday Basics Designer Series Paper for the background. The Modern Label Punch and the outer part of the owl was filled in with Day in the Life Background Paper #11. Ink Colors: Basic Black & Pixie Pink (the pennant automatically prints out in the colors shown). Embellishments: Decorative Dots Embossing Folder, “Celebrate Any Day” Pennant Birthday, Bermuda Bay Candy Dots,& Zig Zag Stitched Border.
The last one I really like because I’m into bright colors. It’s from the Pocket Card Set called, “Be Brave”, which most people use for scrapbooking. I, however, always find ways to turn things into cards (I’m not a huge scrapbooker although our dogs are adorable so I might start with them. Dogs can be guinea pigs too.). I’ll probably use this one to send to a friend I haven’t gotten to talk to in a while. I’ll update her on what I’ve been doing and maybe invite her to lunch or something. What do you think of it?Supply List (MDS Features Underlined in Red): Stamps: “Love”. Embellishments: “My Happy Life” circle, Solid Tag Topper, Solid Mosaic, Mosaic Border, buttons from the brights collection & Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder. Cardstock Colors: Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie & Pacific Point. Ink Colors: Daffodil Yellow, Pumpkin Pie, Pacific Point & Pink Passion.
Did I mention that digital stamps are a fraction of the cost of a hand held stamp? And remember – the download is free so give it a test drive. I’ll be here to hold your hand…promise. Click the picture below and start your FREE trial today!
